The Spiegel Grove wreck is laying perfectly on the sand at a depth of 135 ft. The 510 ft long amphibian transport ship rests near Key Largo, south of the Florida peninsula.

As a dive site it is highly recognized, as its depth range makes it attractive to both recreational divers and technical divers.

From a photography standpoint, the Spiegel Grove offers countless options: Its enormous size and excellent state of conservation allows advanced penetrations (being a technical diver), where it is possible to photograph scenes of the life of the ship, such as cabins, engine rooms, officer and crew dining rooms and the iconic "snoopy ", symbol of the ship. It also houses an infinity of tropical fish, which today make up its new crew, accompanied by an extensive blanket of flora that completely covers the ship.
